We are Counterstrike

CounterStrike Security and Sound was founded in 2005 by 2 industry veteran father and son duo.

CounterStrike Security & Sound is a local family-owned and operated company, based in Cape Coral, Florida and serving all of Southwest Florida and parts of the Caribbean.

Our team is committed to provide creative, custom, and comprehensive service for our clients. From consultation to design to sales and installation to training, monitoring and maintenance, our goal is to help each client achieve a system that will fit their need, budget, and lifestyle.

What’s with the Name?

We started CounterStrike as a home security company because that was our team’s strongest skill-set at the time.

Although we had as much experience in custom audio & video, video surveillance, and home automation — we really didn’t have the highly skilled team back then as we do today.

In 2005, we knew that we could only effectively serve our clients by just offering home security, our roadmap did have a solid plan for serving all of the custom technology to our clients’ needs, which today, we have more than surpassed.

The CounterStrike brand was effective for us as a home security company. Our brand has built a great reputation in SWFL since 2005 so we stuck with it.

Our Licenses

We currently have 4 state licenses: 3 in Florida, and 1 in Georgia.

Our Florida licences allow us to do any type of electrically connected system, high voltage and low voltage. We can proudly say that there aren’t too many companies like us!

Our Georgia license allows us to do any low voltage work. Why Georgia? Well, we have some FL clients that have homes in Georgia and absolutely love us so much that they requested that we deck out their Georgia homes too! Of course we had to meet license requirements as regulated by both states to do so.

We are also insured for everything we do.

Do you use Subcontractors?

Absolutely Not!

Our installation and service team is skilled enough to handle any scenario we require. In fact, the licenses we mentioned above include a full high-voltage electrical contractor’s license. We do a lot of jobs that require electrical work, like adding outlets for wall-mounted TVs to full Lutron lighting control systems. Our team is skilled, and we do not want our clients dealing with outside contractors in their homes.

Our Process

Discovery

The project always begins with a discovery process, where we listen to our client’s needs and desires. Our preliminary interviews are relaxed yet specific, as we endeavor to balance the desires of the client with the realities of technological trends, budget constraints and built-in obsolescence.

Design & Budget

Our system design team goes to work to define all aspects of the project functionality for each room or area including hardware and pre-wire drops locations. In addition, all hardware and labor is defined with exacting detail. We meet with the client to deliver this information for review, feedback and ultimate approval.

Pre-wire

Once the concept, design, and budget are all in line, we will begin our Pre-wire, this is when we will run and hide all the cabling needed for your system - we will correspond with your Builder to get a timeline in place.

Trim

Drywall is already in place, we will start trimming out wall plates, alarm contacts, keypads, speakers, pool alarm, 2nd trim - at this stage your electric, TV and internet service is in place. We start moving the gear in, amps, controllers etc, and we then start the final wiring and programming.

Client Orientation

Meet your new system! At this point we will go over each major aspect of your system, and setting, a brief introduction to your system Interfaces, you will also have direct contact with the project’s lead technician should there be any questions!
